Straight Forged Tine

Heavy-Duty Straight Bale Spears — 4 Profiles, Custom Lengths, OEM Available

STRAIGHT FORGED TINE

Straight forged tines are the standard workhorse for bale spearing applications on front-end loaders, telehandlers, and tractor-mounted bale forks. Our straight tines are forged from spring steel, heat-treated for a balance of hardness and fatigue resistance, and finished with an environmentally friendly protective coating. Available in four cross-section profiles — Square, Round, Double-T, and Star — the straight tine is compatible with virtually every bale handling system on the market. Spring steel is the material of choice for agricultural tines because it combines high tensile strength with the elasticity needed to absorb repeated impact loads without permanent deformation. Our forging process compresses the grain structure of the steel, creating a denser, more fatigue-resistant component than machined or cast alternatives. Each tine is heat-treated to a controlled hardness range, then inspected against dimensional tolerances before coating. Profile selection depends on the bale spear receiver tube on your loader or telehandler. Square and Double-T profiles are common on European loader systems; Round profiles are widely used on North American equipment; Star profiles provide additional torsional rigidity for heavy-duty applications. If you are unsure which profile matches your machine, send us the receiver tube dimensions and we will recommend the correct specification.

Frequently Asked Questions

Profile selection depends on the receiver tube on your loader or telehandler. Square and Double-T profiles are most common on European loader systems (JCB, Manitou, Merlo, Weidemann). Round profiles are widely used on North American equipment (John Deere, Kubota). Star profiles provide additional torsional rigidity for heavy-duty applications. Send us your receiver tube dimensions and we will confirm the correct specification.
Yes. Our tines are manufactured to standard dimensional tolerances and are compatible with all major loader brands including JCB, Manitou, Merlo, John Deere, Kubota, Weidemann, and Krone. Please provide the receiver tube dimensions and thread specification when ordering to ensure a precise fit.
MOQ for forged tines is currently being confirmed — please contact us directly for current minimum quantities. We can accommodate both trial and full container orders.
Lead time for forged tines is currently being confirmed and may differ from our film products due to the heat treatment cycle. Please contact us for current availability and estimated delivery.
For OEM orders, we require your target dimensions (length, diameter, thread specification, cone angle), preferred cross-section profile, and branding requirements. We will prepare a sample for approval before production. Typical sample lead time is 2–3 weeks.
The coating is formulated to meet modern environmental standards and provides long-lasting corrosion resistance under normal agricultural use conditions. For extended outdoor storage, we recommend keeping tines under cover when not in use.
Standard thread options are M20×1.5, M22×1.5, M24×1.5, M27×1.5, M28×1.5, and M39×2. Custom thread specifications can be arranged for OEM orders.
HRC hardness specification is available on request. Our tines are heat-treated to a controlled hardness range that balances strength and fatigue resistance for repeated loading cycles. Please contact us for the specific HRC range applicable to your required profile and dimensions.
Replacement intervals depend on usage intensity, bale density, and operating conditions. Inspect tines regularly for visible bending, surface cracking, or thread wear. Replace any tine that shows permanent deformation or visible cracking to avoid equipment damage or safety risk.
We ship from Qingdao and Shanghai by sea freight. We handle all documentation, booking, and export formalities. Air freight is available for urgent sample shipments. Please contact us for a freight quote based on your destination port.
